What changed

Every change that reaches the site or the app, newest first. Nothing here is a name — entries say what changed for you, not who changed it. Beta limitations belong on this page too: if something is missing or rough, it is written down rather than waited out.

27 September 2026

  • Encrypted off-site backups, with a restore that is tested rather than assumed.
  • Stricter sign-in protections: rate limits that can no longer be sidestepped, single-use links for password reset and email verification, and a limit on how large a request the app will accept.
  • Content-security headers on every page, so a script that is not ours cannot run on the site.
  • Isolation fixes in the geometry sandbox that generates your parts.

  • A real FITD icon: the caliper mark now shows in browser tabs, on a phone home screen and in link previews, replacing the placeholder the project was scaffolded with.

25 September 2026

  • Public pages are now rendered at build time. The landing page, the legal pages and this one arrive as finished HTML, so they are readable with JavaScript off and legible to search engines.
  • A sitemap, and per-page titles, descriptions and link previews.

24 September 2026

  • The demo on the front page is the product's own screens, playing the real loop: the prompt, the one clarifying question, the spec card you approve, the measured report, then the part. The numbers in it are measurements of the file you can download, not illustrations.
  • Message the founder is live updating — replies appear without a refresh.
  • A stale session no longer signs you out mid-generation.
  • Legal pages carry the real contact addresses and the current list of processors.

  • Refining a part keeps its labelled dimensions, recovers cleanly when a refinement is rejected, and no longer lets a half-typed draft take over the chat.
  • Screening now covers weaponised drone parts. Ordinary drone hardware — frames, mounts, guards, trays — is unaffected. See Prohibited uses.

Known beta limitations

  • Invite-only, UK only, and free while in beta.
  • Verification is a measurement, not an opinion on whether the part suits your application. How verification works sets out exactly what is and is not checked.
  • Generated files are not kept forever: download anything you want to keep.
